Back in 2004, I had a big part in the design and implementation of "The Price is Right" 2nd Edition Home Game, produced
by Endless Games. The game sold very well (50,000 units at last check), and I determined it was time for a new one.
Throughout the history of "Price is Right" home games, and even the video games released in 2008 and 2009, a decent
selection of pricing games (mainly fan favorites) have been put in. There's a problem with that. The problem? Super-fans
of the show, like myself, noticing some of the more rare games missing. In the most recent addition of the video game,
produced by Ludia, Inc. and released thru Ubisoft, the Wii and PC edition includes 30 Pricing Games. My last home game
contained 45, by far the largest selection. This time around, I have devised a solution.
Over the past few years, I have become a fan of "Expandable" games. Games like "Killer Bunnies and the Quest For The Magic Carrot"
and the multiple incarnations of "Munchkin" feature a single game that you can expand on by getting all the sets. I figured,
"Why not put that into practice for 'Price'?" That thinking produced this:
"THE PRICE IS RIGHT" SUPER DELUXE EDITION
Below, I have organized how the game will be split up, and even some box and game art. Enjoy!
A note about design: Each board shown is 6" by 8" and is dry-erase.
